The Simple Process to Link Pan with Aadhaar and importance of link Aadhaar card with Pan Card.
You can link your PAN with Aadhaar by the following the process:
b) Register on it (if you haven’t already). The PAN (permanent account number) will be your user ID.
c) Log in by entering your user ID, password and date of birth.
d) A pop-up window will appear asking you to connect your PAN to Aadhaar. If not, go to “Profile settings” in the menu bar and click on “Aadhaar link”.
e) Details such as name of date of birth and sex will already be mentioned according to the details of the NAP.
f) Check the PAN details on the screen with those mentioned on Aadhaar. Pls. keep in mind that if there is a mismatch, you must do the same corrected in any of the documents.
g) If the details match, enter your Aadhaar number and click the “link now” button.
h) A pop-up message will inform you that Aadhaar has been successfully connected to the PAN
Why to link PAN with Aadhaar?
In the 2017 Budget, the government introduced a new section Section 139AA-in the Income Tax Act. According to section 139AA.
It is mandatory to quote your Aadhaar number while requesting a new PAN and also while submitting ITR.
In addition, people who already had PAN on July 1, 2017 and are eligible to obtain Aadhaar, must bind the two before the expiration of a deadline to be set by the government.
